There are many benefits to joining the Wisconsin Army National Guard. Here are a few of the benefits new members may receive. You may qualify for;
Bonus: up to a $20,000 sign on bonus!
100% College tuition (up to $10,532 per year)
Receive 100% College tuition up to the cost of University of Wisconsin-Madison rates for eight semesters.
75% Federal tuition assistance (Up to $4,500 per year)
May be used in addition to supplement or separately from the 100% State tuition. May be used for up to eight semesters.
Montgomery G.I. Bill (up to $372 per month)
In addition to paying your college tuition, qualified applicants will receive a monthly allotment while attending post-secondary education. Allotment is paid for up to 36 months (4 years). Allotment is prorated based on student status as full-time or part-time student. $372 per month for a full time student (12 credits or more per semester).
Montgomery G.I. Bill Kicker (up to $350 per month)
This is an additional monthly paymentalong withthe Montgomery G.I. Bill amount listed above. Applicants who qualify for both the Montgomery G.I. Bill and the Montgomery G.I. Bill Kicker may receive up to $722 ($372 + $350), per month while attending post-secondary education. Like the Montgomery G.I. Bill, the Kicker is paid for up to 36 months of college attendance.
Student Loan Repayment Program (up to $50,000)
For those that have existing student loan obligations at the time of enlistment, the Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP) may pay off, up to $50,000 of your current student loans.
100% tuition reimbursement
Up to UW Madison semester rate ($5,266, up to $10,532 per year); Enlisted or warrant officer without a bachelors degree; payment only for out of pocket tuition cost (no fees). Must achieve a 2.0 GPA for the semester, cannot exceed 8 full time semesters or equivalent. Must be a member of the WING on end date of course to be reimburse
Wisconsin G.I. Bill is a tuition remission program
This benefit is atuition remission program for eligible Wisconsin Veterans who are attending public institutions of higher education in Wisconsin. The WI G.I. Bill provides tuition remission benefits of 128 credits or 8 semester, whichever is longer. Must be used at a University of Wisconsin institution or Wisconsin technical colleges.
