National Guard
There are many benefits to joining the Wisconsin Army National Guard. Here are a few of the benefits new members may receive. You may qualify for;
Bonus: up to a $20,000 sign on bonus!
100% College tuition (up to $10,555 per year)
Receive 100% College tuition up to the cost of University of Wisconsin-Madison rates for eight semesters.
75% Federal tuition assistance (Up to $4,500 per year)
May be used in addition to supplement or separately from the 100% State tuition. May be used for up to eight semesters.
Montgomery G.I. Bill (up to $384 per month)
In addition to paying your college tuition, qualified applicants will receive a monthly allotment while attending post-secondary education. Allotment is paid for up to 36 months (4 years). Allotment is prorated based on student status as full-time or part-time student. $372 per month for a full time student (12 credits or more per semester).
Montgomery G.I. Bill Kicker (up to $350 per month)
This is an additional monthly paymentalong withthe Montgomery G.I. Bill amount listed above. Applicants who qualify for both the Montgomery G.I. Bill and the Montgomery G.I. Bill Kicker may receive up to $722 ($372 + $350), per month while attending post-secondary education. Like the Montgomery G.I. Bill, the Kicker is paid for up to 36 months of college attendance.
Student Loan Repayment Program (up to $50,000)
For those that have existing student loan obligations at the time of enlistment, the Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP) may pay off, up to $50,000 of your current student loans.
