New Hampshire

New Hampshire National Guard soldiers have always played a unique role in our community. We are your doctors, pilots, teachers, firefighters, and more. We go to school, we have full time jobs, and we train to serve. The New Hampshire National Guard as a militia for self-defense can be traced back to 1623 and the first settlements near the mouth of the Pascataqua River in Portsmouth, NH. Today, we maintain a force of highly trained infantry, artillery, engineering, medical, helicopter-aviation, communications, and transportation units, with armories all over the state that are ready to answer the call at a moments notice. Find out what it means to be a part of the New Hampshire National Guard, and the benefits too. Contact a recruiter for a full list of benefits.
